What Is Energy Healing?
Energy healing therapy is an ancient practice
based on the belief that our life force, or energy, becomes
imbalanced during times of stress or physical disease. Physical,
mental, emotional, and/or spiritual illness or injury are
believed to manifest in both the physical body and the energy.
The intent of energy therapy is to restore the balance of
energy to the biofield. Balancing the energy helps to promote
health, healing, and general well-being. The therapist works
to restore balance to the biofield by using light touch on/over
the body, to clear disturbances and facilitate the natural
flow of energy. It is believed that this will help enhance
the body's own natural ability to heal.
Energy healing is intended to complement, not
replace traditional medical therapies, by encouraging the
body to draw upon its natural healing ability. Used in combination
with traditional treatments, energy healing may help you experience
more powerful results from your treatment plan.
The National Institutes of Health is funding
numerous energy healing studies that are examining its effects
on a variety of conditions such as temporomandibular joint
disorders, fractures, cardiovascular health, cancer, wound
healing, neonatal stress, pain, fibromyalgia, and AIDS.
More than 50 major hospitals and clinics throughout
the United States offer energy healing to patients
Michele has to say....
I was exposed to energy healing over 20 years
ago. Later, I got involved with Healing Touch because of some
of my own health issues. I had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for
over 17 years, and found little relief. Then I started having
energy medicine sessions. Over time, I realized how much better
I was feeling! I believe in the benefits of energy work which
makes it so easy for me to participate in the practice. It
helps on not only the physical level, but the mental, emotional
and spiritual levels as well.
Therapy A gentle, yet powerful, form of healing
Blending CST models based on client need and receptivity,
and using bioenergy work, lymphatic drainage and massage has
proven most effective in my practice."
